PrEP Learning Collaborative Hub
The PrEP Learning Collaborative brings together clinicians, navigators, DIS and other health workers, program leaders, and state and local health department staff to focus on the latest advances in PrEP and PEP and to ensure access to HIV prevention for all people. We offer timely updates, training and information sessions, interactive panel discussions and idea exchanges, and direct technical assistance.

En esta sesión, ofreceremos una breve descripción general de las opciones de PrEP y nos enfocaremos en discutir el asesoramiento y estrategias necesarias usar la práctica de decisiones compartidas; la cual ayuda a los clientes y pacientes a tomar la decisión que mejor se adapte a sus necesidades. PrEP Options and Shared Decision-Making en español

There are several oral and injectable PrEP options available to people for HIV prevention. We will provide a brief overview of PrEP options and focus on counselling points and shared decision-making strategies for helping clients and patients make the choice that best suits their needs. This session is a collaboration with East Bay Getting to Zero. NOTE: This session is in Spanish.

2026 CA PrEP Navigator Certification Training
April 21 and 23, 2026, 9:30am-1:00pm PDT
Join HealthHIV virtually on April 21st and 23rd from 9:30am – 1:00pm to earn the HIV PrEP Navigation Certification (HIVPNC). The HIVPNC is the only national certification program that prepares providers and allied health professionals to guide community members in initiating, using, and staying engaged in PrEP care.
This live virtual, two-day interactive program provides CA-based healthcare professionals with the knowledge, skills, and tools to deliver high-quality PrEP navigation by combining evidence-based strategies with practical application. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in case-based learning, network with peers, and connect with leaders in the field, making this a unique opportunity to elevate or solidify your expertise and advance HIV prevention in your community.
Participants must attend both half-day events to earn the certification.
By successfully completing this free program, individuals will:
- Demonstrate their commitment to delivering patient-centered PrEP navigation services
- Develop skills to educate clients about PrEP and identify appropriate options
- Help clients access and maintain PrEP through insurance navigation, financial assistance, and ongoing support specific to California
- Earn the HealthHIV HIV PrEP Navigation Certification
- Receive up to 5.0 CME/CE credits (CME, ABIM MOC, AAPA, NCPD, CPE, ASWB)
- Receive a listing in the national online directory of HIVPNCs
Target Audience: This program is designed for PrEP navigators, disease intervention specialists, case managers, social workers, health educators, and other allied health professionals who support clients at risk for HIV. Physicians, PAs, NPs, nurses, pharmacists, and other clinicians involved in PrEP care are encouraged to participate.
