PrEP Learning Collaborative Hub

The PrEP Learning Collaborative brings together clinicians, navigators, DIS and other health workers, program leaders, and state and local health department staff to focus on the latest advances in PrEP and PEP and to ensure access to HIV prevention for all people. We offer timely updates, training and information sessions, interactive panel discussions and idea exchanges, and direct technical assistance.

Using telenovelas for HIV prevention messaging and community empowerment

This exciting session will highlight a sexy new approach to reaching Latine/Hispanic communities with HIV and STI testing and prevention messages. Our guests, Joaquin Gutiérrez, Natalie Sánchez, and Citlalin Torres, will present their original and very steamy telenovela, El Chakal de mi corazón, produced in partnership with REACH LA. They will trace the development of their idea and discuss its impact on PrEP awareness, and we will explore how this concept might be used in different Latine/Hispanic communities.
