Nicole Novero, BA
Health Educator
Nicole Novero serves as the health educator for the Family PACT Program. She provides technical assistance and training support for providers to build capacity and knowledge to better serve their Family PACT clients. She comes to us with 10 years of experience as a Health Educator. It was during her time at Cal State East Bay that she found her passion for Health Education. It was the lack of common knowledge in her patients that opened her eyes to the need for quality sexual health education and made her want to pursue this career field.
She began that work with Contra Costa Health Services providing confidential services to over 40 middle and high schools throughout the county. Additionally, she previously worked for Alameda’s Public Health Department where she assisted with program planning in the Medical Therapy Unit. There she performed informational interviews and implemented new protocols. She’s also worked in pediatrics where she created the educational materials dispensed to clients. This has given her the opportunity to work with a very diverse population.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her partner and her dog Stella. Her passion aside from reproductive health includes going on adventures, exploring new foods, and crafting. She holds her BA in Health Sciences from Cal State East Bay as well as being a Certified Family Planner.
