Syphilis and Other STIs in Focus

The California Department of Public Health and the California Prevention Training Center are excited to offer this flexible, asynchronous sexual health training course designed for clinicians and public health professionals. Through two focused modules—one on syphilis and another on other clinically relevant STIs—participants will build core knowledge in prevention, recognition, diagnosis, and management of STIs while strengthening practical skills they can apply in clinical and public health settings.

Each module takes approximately one hour to complete, for a total course length of two hours. In Module 1: Syphilis Overview, you’ll explore the stages, symptoms, diagnosis, testing, and treatment of syphilis. Module 2: STI Overview covers the diagnosis and management of additional STIs of clinical significance. While the modules are designed to be taken in order (Module 1 followed by Module 2), you can complete them in whatever order best supports your learning.
